Henry Prickett Jr., president of Just Ask Hal LLC in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was arrested again today (3rd time) by South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators on five counts of Failure to File Individual Income Tax Returns and five counts of Failure to File Sales Tax Returns. The Horry County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.
Henry Prickett of Just Ask Hal is charged with failing to file income tax returns for over $758,000 of gross income in tax years 2008-2012. Henry Prickett of Just Ask Hal is also charged with failure to file sales tax returns for over $439,000 of gross sales for the the same years.
This arrest is Prickett’s third tax related arrest in approximately one year. Prickett was previously arrested on April 18, 2014 for operating his business without a retail license. Prickett pled guilty to the charge in June of 2015. Prickett continued operating his business without a retail license - he was then arrested a second time on July 22, 2015 - those charges are still pending trial.
Prickett of Just Ask Hal was taken to the J Reuben Long Detention Facility in Conway, South Carolina, pending a bond hearing. If Prickett is convicted of these five counts, the defendant faces up to $10,000 in fines and/or up to one year in jail, per charge - that's up to $100,000 fine and/or up to 10 years in jail for all 10 charges.
Henry Prickett of Just Ask Hal, LLC was released on $5000 bond on August 22, 2015. The Just Ask Hal owner is charged with 10 charges of tax evasion. Henry Prickett is awaiting trial at this time for both his second arrest and this third arrest.

July 22, 2015: Henry Prickett Jr., owner and operator of Just Ask Hal, a computer repair business in North Myrtle Beach, was arrested today on one count of operating a business without a valid retail license, according to the S.C. Department of Revenue.
In January 2015, the sales tax license for HDP Enterprises Inc, d/b/a Just Ask Hal, was revoked for failure to file sales tax returns and pay monies due.
After being advised of the penalties for operating a business without a retail license, the defendant continued to operate the business and make retail sales.
Prickett was previously arrested for the same charge on April 18, 2014 and pled guilty on June 3, 2015.
The defendant is being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Facility in Conway. If convicted, Prickett faces a fine up to $200 and/or imprisonment up to 30 days.
